As general manager, Giuseppe “Pino” Algeri plans and directs Ristorante LUCCA’s staff and resources to ensure the highest quality of food, optimal standards of service, and an exceptional guest experience. In addition to managing his team of kitchen, bar, and restaurant managers, Pino is responsible for supervising payroll records, overseeing the yearly budget, and managing human resources operations.

Prior to joining Ristorante LUCCA, Pino served as Manager, Ristorante Toscana in Cherry Hill for six years where he was responsible for all staff and daily restaurant operations.

Pino also booked banquets and coordinated menus, oversaw the online reservation system, placed orders for restaurant merchandise, and delivered a high-quality customer experience. Previous to that position, Pino was the Dining Room Manager at Caffe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill for three years where he hired and trained employees, managed the floor, and oversaw administrative tasks that were crucial to operational success.

Earlier in his career, Pino was the General Manager of Nunzios Ristorante in Collingswood, NJ for 13 years where he managed and supervised all employees, promoted and booked banquets, including menu selection, managed the accounting and other back-office tasks, and oversaw purchasing for wine and liquor as well as for equipment and materials.

Other restaurant management and Chef de Rang experience includes: Le Bec Fin/Brasserie Perrier (Philadelphia, PA); Girasole Ristorante (Philadelphia, PA); and the Monte Carlo Living Room Restaurant & Night Club (Philadelphia, PA). Prior to coming to the United States, Pino worked in various restaurants throughout England, as well as at The Water’s Edge, a 5-star hotel on beautiful Jersey Island located between England and France.

Raised in Italy, and fluent in Italian, English and Spanish, Pino was a student at two hotel and restaurant schools: Hotel Enalc and Hotel Foresta. He gained experience through an internship working onboard the cruise ship TSS Michelangelo in Italy.
